I’ve been enjoying these much better than the older generation in-ear headphones. I’ve tried Apple’s $70 headphones and can easily say that these are more durable and sound even better at a cheaper price. Since I don’t base sound quality off of excessive and annoying constant bass that everyone seems to love these days, I will say that the Earpods bring an equal mix of much needed treble (problem that the $70 earphones had in my opinion) and a nice mix of bass that the original in-ear headphones lacked. <br/><br/> The first thing that catches most peoples eyes are the shape. They remind me of a similar Bose in-ear that were a little awkward to use. The second noticeable change was the microphone portion of the Earpods. They’re SO much easier to use than previous generations. On the older headphones, it took some struggling to actually have a song switch. These Earpods make the switch a breeze. The larger buttons feel very responsive and moreover, there is no more exposed microphone. Everything has been sealed as it was a main complaint with the microphone portion.<br/><br/> Lastly, and in my opinion, the greatest fix to these was the move to get rid of that crappy gray rubber that would fall off after a couple months of light use. These earpods get rid of that, with the only visible problem down the road being the connector portion splitting. People have always complained about these and the older generation falling out of the ears while wearing them. I personally have never had this problem. With these (and previous) generations, tilting my head, running with them, etc made no difference. These seem to stay in just as great as the last generation.<br/><br/> If you’re looking to get these for future use, they’re a great and viable option for “daily” audio needs. If you’re an audio freak, I’d advise to spend a little more $.
